Nominations are now open for the AIM Hero Awards 2027, inviting the community to recognise individuals whose compassion, dedication and commitment to multiculturalism make a meaningful difference.
Organised by the Australian International Multicultural Association (AIM), the awards honour people who bring communities together, support others across cultural backgrounds and promote understanding, inclusion and cooperation.
Many community heroes make their contributions quietly. They give their time, lend a helping hand and create opportunities for people to feel welcome and connected. The AIM Hero Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge their efforts and celebrate the impact they have on those around them.
Members of the public are encouraged to nominate someone they believe deserves recognition for championing multiculturalism. A nomination is a chance to share that person’s story and highlight how their actions help build a more compassionate and united community.
Previous AIM Heroes include Mohamed Hage OAM in 2024, Wally Mehanna in 2025 and Scott Dickson in 2026. The 2027 awards will continue this tradition of recognising outstanding contributions to multicultural community life.
If you know someone who brings people together and turns compassion into action, help shine a light on their contribution.
