According to BBC News, Northern Ireland completed a productive Uefa Nations League window with a goalless home draw against Georgia, collecting eight points in 11 days. The result left disappointment at Windsor Park after Isaac Price’s 83rd-minute penalty was saved, but the side remain top of Group B2.

Northern Ireland had previously earned their first nine Nations League points across 17 matches. In this four-game spell, they won away in Georgia and against Ukraine in Slovakia, while drawing both home fixtures 0-0 against Hungary and Georgia.

Michael O’Neill’s team recorded four successive clean sheets and are the only side in the competition yet to concede a goal. The window tested the squad’s depth, with Conor Bradley and Ali McCann unavailable, while Daniel Ballard suffered a hamstring injury after the opening game.

Young defenders Ruairi McConville and Tom Atcheson featured, while Ciaron Brown started all four matches. O’Neill used only 15 different starters, with further changes including Ethan Galbraith’s absence against Ukraine for the birth of his child.

Northern Ireland have already secured League B status and can still pursue promotion and second seeding for December’s Euro 2028 qualifying draw. Their final Group B2 fixtures next month are at home to Ukraine and away to Hungary.
