In an inspiring initiative to support the community, NOVA Health Care Centre, led by its founder and director, Dr Kusopan Peter, is offering free general health tests for three days. This remarkable gesture aims to provide essential health services to underserved individuals who may otherwise lack access to regular health check-ups, potentially preventing serious illnesses and saving lives.
Dr Kusopan, a pharmacist by profession, shared the challenges she faced in establishing the centre. Initially, she struggled to find a strategic location that aligned with her vision of serving the community effectively. Reflecting on her journey, she said, “I hesitated when I found this place, thinking it wasn’t ideal. However, I’ve come to appreciate its potential and am grateful for the support of my dedicated colleagues, who have joined me in providing care for our people.”
During the three-day free testing program, the medical team will review test results and educate individuals about their health status. The initiative is designed to raise awareness and encourage preventive care in a community where many are unable to access regular health checks due to financial constraints.
Despite offering these free services, Dr Kusopan stressed the importance of financial sustainability for the health centre. “After the free testing period, patients will be required to pay for treatments, as the hospital needs funds to purchase medicines and provide other essential services,” she explained. She assured the public that treatment fees would remain affordable, noting the impact of rising medication costs on low-income families.
To further ease the burden on patients, Dr Kusopan announced that discounts would be available to those who refer new customers to the health centre. She also highlighted the centre’s capacity to treat cholera patients in light of the recent outbreak in the country, though she clarified that alcohol addiction cases would be referred to larger hospitals with specialised facilities.
In her exclusive interview with Oz Arab Media, Dr Kusopan reaffirmed her commitment to making quality healthcare accessible. “Our goal is to serve the community with compassion and affordability, ensuring no one is left behind,” she said.
The free general tests are available for a limited time only, so residents are encouraged to take advantage of this life-saving opportunity. NOVA Health Care Centre is setting a powerful example of community-focused healthcare and hopes to become a trusted name in the region.
