Kuwait is currently celebrating the second anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah assuming the position of Crown Prince. This national occasion highlights a remarkable journey filled with contributions and achievements, showcasing His Highness’s commitment to supporting comprehensive developmental progress across the country, particularly in the field of sports.
Munaweur Al-Mutairi, a journalist and president of the Sports Media Coordinators Association, emphasized that His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has accomplished significant achievements for our country. He serves as the primary support and Crown Prince under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, always prioritizing the welfare of the loyal people of Kuwait. Al-Mutairi noted that Sheikh Sabah Khaled has played a crucial role in both domestic and foreign affairs, representing Kuwait at numerous international events, both Arab and foreign, and serving as an excellent ambassador for his nation.
Furthermore, Al-Mutairi pointed out that Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has shown deep interest and ongoing support for the sports system and athletes in Kuwait. This patronage stems from his belief in the importance of empowering Kuwaiti youth and raising the country’s flag in various regional and international arenas.
He added that His Highness has supported state sports institutions through his directives to establish plans for enhancing infrastructure and providing an environment conducive to improving both technical and administrative performance, aligning with the aspirations of the youth and sports sectors. Al-Mutairi reiterated that Kuwaiti sports enjoy unlimited support and attention, particularly focusing on nurturing national talents and elevating the standards of various sports.
The President of the Sports Media Coordinators Association further noted that the sports sector has garnered significant attention from His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. This was evident as he attended and supported numerous sporting events, sending a clear message about the critical role of sports in the lives of people.
