As part of their ongoing efforts to engage with Arab religious, political, and community authorities in Australia, the Oz Arab Media delegation, led by director Mr. Remy Wehbe, paid a visit to the Lebanese Independence Movement political party at their offices in Harris Park on the evening of Monday, March 6, 2023.
The Oz Arab Media team, which included Mr. Alaa Alawadi from Radio 2000 FM, was warmly welcomed by the representatives of the Independence Movement, including the Sydney representative Mr. Said Doueihy and the president of IM Australia, Mr. Asaad Barakat. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for both parties to share their ideas and experiences.

During the meeting, Mr. Wehbe introduced the media platform and its objectives and successes since inception. He highlighted how Oz Arab Media aims to provide a voice to the Arab community in Australia and create a space where people can come together to share their experiences, ideas, and stories. He also discussed the platform’s reach and efficiency and provided examples of how it has helped to bridge the gap between Arab communities and mainstream Australian society.
The members of the Independence Movement were very active and engaging during the meeting, asking many excellent questions about the platform’s effectiveness and providing valuable feedback for improving the website. They also shared their insights and experiences about the challenges facing the Lebanese and Arab communities in Australia and their vision for the future.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Wehbe invited the IM members to join Oz Arab Media at their upcoming gala dinner on May 19 at the Doltone House in Bossley Park.
Overall, the meeting between the Oz Arab Media delegation and the representatives of the Lebanese Independence Movement was a productive and informative exchange.
