The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine calls for the immediate withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from the Gaza Strip, the assumption of responsibilities by the State of Palestine and its internationally recognized government, and for an end to the ongoing Nakba (catastrophe) of our people.
The Ministry condemns the public incitement by members of the Israeli government to resume the war of extermination and displacement against our people in Gaza, and to persist in the ongoing annexation of the land of the State of Palestine under false pretexts and flimsy justifications.
The Ministry considers these to be official calls to definitively favor the supremacy of brute force over international law and the language of reason, as well as a direct threat to the United Nations, resolutions of international legitimacy, and the fundamental pillars of the global order.
The Ministry calls for genuine international mobilization and measures to restrain the Israeli occupation’s encroachment against our people and their legitimate rights, in a way that ensures the permanence of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and a definitive end to the war of extermination, annexation, and forced displacement.
It also calls for the urgent empowerment of the State of Palestine and its internationally recognized institutions to assume their responsibilities and immediately extend their sovereignty over the Gaza Strip and the entirety of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967.
The Ministry affirms that history will neither forgive nor forget the states and parties that obstruct the attainment of the State of Palestine’s legitimate control and the enabling of its full exercise of sovereignty over its land, as stipulated in resolutions of international legitimacy.
