The hardcore band Parkway Drive has officially distanced itself from its former merchandise manager, Jed Daniel Gordon, following his guilty plea for having sexual intercourse with a minor. The incident, which involved a 15-year-old girl, took place between November 1, 2002, and July 11, 2003.

Gordon, 44, appeared in Byron Bay Local Court last week, where he admitted to the charges. Parkway Drive, which has been active since 2003, released a statement expressing their support for the victim and condemning Gordon’s actions. According to ABC News, the band stated they felt “gutted” and acknowledged their moral responsibility for having contracted Gordon from 2003, on and off over the years.

The band confirmed that Gordon had not toured with them since 2017 and had recently been part of their online merchandise team in Australia. In light of the guilty plea, Parkway Drive stated they terminated his contract immediately, emphasizing that he is no longer associated with the band in any capacity.

Gordon, who is the brother of Parkway Drive drummer Ben Gordon, is scheduled to be sentenced on May 19. The court is expected to hear a victim impact statement during this sentencing.
