According to ABC News, a 34-year-old music teacher from Hillarys has been charged with producing child exploitation material and indecently recording a child.

Police said Child Abuse Squad detectives charged the man following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards children. He was employed at several private schools in Perth and also provided private music tutoring outside his work at metropolitan schools.

Detectives have laid three counts of producing child exploitation material and two counts of indecently recording a child aged over 13 and under 16. Police allege child exploitation material was found on several electronic devices seized from the man’s home during the execution of a search warrant.

The man is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court today. Police have asked anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers or submit a report through the Safe2Say online reporting platform.
