According to ABC News, prosecutors have obtained more than 70,000 pages of phone data in an investigation into Melbourne gym owner and former boxer Ray “Razor” Dimachki, who is charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of cocaine.

Dimachki appeared by video link in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for a brief hearing on Thursday. His brother, Majed Al-Dimachki, also appeared via video link and is facing drugs and weapons charges. A magistrate gave both brothers’ lawyers extra time to examine the volume of material obtained during the investigation.

Court documents released after Dimachki’s lawyer, Daniel Georgiou, opposed media access to the charges stated that Dimachki had earlier this year refused to provide police with passwords for his devices. The documents allege he possessed a pill press, an unregistered handgun and ammunition, along with prescription sleeping pills and the prescription opioid oxycodone.

Dimachki is also alleged to have possessed testosterone, peptides and MDMA. Prosecutors say he dealt with more than $100,000 in proceeds of crime, including some US dollars. The allegations have not been determined by the court.

The charges follow two suspicious fires at Dimachki’s Rare Breed boxing gym on Montague Street in South Melbourne in June. Arsonists rammed the roller door and set the gym alight at about 3.15am on June 16. A second attack two days later completely gutted the building. No arrests were made at the time of the fires, and a statement on the business’s social media said the gym was no longer operational. Both brothers are on bail and are due to return for a committal hearing in December.
