His Grace Bishop Serapion, Bishop of Los Angeles, Southern California, and Hawaii, presided over the Divine Liturgy yesterday morning, Sunday, August 23, at the Church of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Fresno, California, USA. The service was attended by the Right Reverend Bishops Abraham and Kyrillos, general bishops of the diocese, and several priests from the Los Angeles parishes.After the Service of Reconciliation, the venerable bishops completed the ordination of Archdeacon Joseph Joseph to the priesthood for that same church. He took the name Father Luke Joseph and will serve at the altar and among the congregation, amid the joy of the clergy and faithful. The new priest then went to the Monastery of the Great Saint Paul the Apostle in Murrieta, California, to spend the customary forty-day period.
