The Tony Awards have announced that singer Pink will host the 2026 ceremony, set to take place on 7 June at Radio City Music Hall. This marks Pink’s debut as emcee for the prestigious event, following previous hosts including Ariana DeBose, Cynthia Erivo, and Kevin Spacey. According to The Guardian, Pink expressed her excitement, stating, “It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest-working people in showbiz.”
Pink, a three-time Grammy Award winner, is known for her high-energy performances and has had 15 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including four No. 1 songs. Although she has not yet performed on Broadway, her acrobatic live shows have earned her a reputation for electrifying stage presence. In her statement, Pink emphasized the supportive and inclusive nature of the Broadway community, stating, “These people give magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world.”
The artist also mentioned her daughter’s excitement about attending the awards, noting that she felt the need to seek her permission before accepting the hosting role. Pink remarked, “I’m really, really excited and very nervous because that girl is a tough crowd!”
The executive producers of the Tony Awards praised Pink as a “fearless artist” whose authenticity and powerful voice embody the spirit of live performance and theatre. The 2026 Tony Awards will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. The previous year’s ceremony attracted 4.85 million viewers, marking the largest audience for the event in six years, according to Nielsen data.
