Preparing for hot days and summer storms will be easier using the City of Parramatta’s Alerts Dashboard.
The online one-stop shop provides live updates on the latest weather and natural disaster information, with direct access to emergency service agencies including NSW SES, NSW RFS, Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Police.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the safety of residents and visitors is Council’s highest priority.
“As we approach the storm season, it is important for residents to be aware of how to get the latest information,” Cr Zaiter said.
“In a weather emergency, quick and easy access to key information is essential.
“From road closures to weather warnings and fire danger ratings, the alerts dashboard has it all.
“I would advise all residents to save the website as a favourite or bookmark it on your phone so it’s there when you need it.”

Residents can also receive urgent local flood updates through SMS and email by signing up to Floodsmart Parramatta, which is available through the City of Parramatta website. Council will also post emergency warnings on its City of Parramatta Facebook and Instagram stories.
“Residents are also encouraged to have a disaster plan ready in the event of an emergency,” Cr Zaiter said.
“Council’s website has tips and tricks to help you create your plan to keep your family, friends and neighbours safe.”
“Being prepared will also help you have a safe, fun and relaxing summer.”
