According to ABC News, police are searching for two suspects after a man was shot at a residence in Hamilton Hill, about 23 kilometres south-west of Perth’s CBD.

WA Police said they received a report of the shooting in Owen Place at 4:35am on Sunday. St John WA gave emergency first aid to the victim, who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Two males dressed in all-black clothing were believed to have been involved and remained at large. Police said significant resources had been deployed for a thorough search of the area.

Authorities urged people to avoid Hamilton Hill. Residents in the area were advised to lock their doors and windows and remain indoors.

Police asked anyone who sees the two males or notices suspicious behaviour not to approach them and to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
