Police detectives have recovered an alleged kidnapping victim in Dural on Tuesday morning, arresting a 16-year-old male in connection with the incident. The operation commenced after officers received a report indicating that a 53-year-old man had been taken from outside a tobacconist in Mt Pritchard.

According to The Guardian, the victim was approached by four unknown males in balaclavas, who assaulted him and forced him into a Hyundai hatchback.

The state’s serious crime squad was notified and commenced a covert operation to recover the 53-year-old man. By 10:30 AM, police attended a property in Dural, where they recovered the 53-year-old man, who was assessed by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The arrested teenager was taken to Castle Hill police station, where inquiries are ongoing. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding organized crime and public safety in the region.
