Victoria Police are urging caution in the community as a man remains at large following two stabbings in Melbourne on Sunday. According to ABC News, the suspect is believed to have crashed a stolen silver Honda CRV into a house in Dandenong North before stabbing a female occupant.

The incident occurred around 10:15 AM when the driver allegedly exited the vehicle and attacked the woman, who is in her 30s. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries to her upper body and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Earlier in the day, at approximately 7:15 AM, the same man allegedly stabbed a 40-year-old male victim at a property in Bradman Terrace, Epping. Like the woman, this victim is known to the assailant and also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Inspector Graham Higginbotham confirmed that police have deployed the airwing, dog squad, and additional patrols to locate the suspect, who is described as having African appearance with afro-type hair, wearing a brown or dark-colored top and black pants. He fled the scene on foot after the Dandenong North attack.

While the investigation is ongoing, police do not currently believe there is a risk to the wider community, as the incidents appear to be targeted. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and to report any sightings of the suspect or relevant information to authorities.
