Arabic version: الأمير هاري يسافر إلى لندن بدون ميغان والأطفال
Prince Harry will visit London next week without his wife, Meghan, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. This decision comes after it was confirmed that the family would not receive taxpayer-funded police security during the trip. According to BBC News, there is still a possibility that Meghan and the children may join Harry later in the week when his trip moves to the Midlands.
Harry’s visit is part of a five-day trip to mark the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham. Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accepted an offer to stay in a royal residence during this visit. However, he had previously expressed reluctance to bring his family to the UK without improved security arrangements.
In past statements, Harry indicated his concerns about security, stating that he could not envision bringing his wife and children back to the UK under current conditions. The issue of security has been a significant factor, governed by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), which determines security provisions for senior royals and public figures.
Harry’s last visit to the UK with Meghan and their children was in 2022 for the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Since then, he has traveled to the UK alone, including a meeting with his father last September.
