According to BBC News, Rangers will host Celtic at noon on Sunday 13 September in the last of the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals. The match brings the Old Firm rivals together in the final tie of the competition’s last eight.

The quarter-finals begin on Friday evening, when Hearts visit Stenhousemuir. Saturday’s schedule sees Ross County play Hibernian in Dingwall, while Kilmarnock host Aberdeen at Rugby Park.

Celtic knocked Rangers out of both cup competitions last season. They defeated Rangers on penalties in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals before losing the final to St Mirren. The clubs also met in the Scottish Cup, where Celtic again won a shoot-out after a 0-0 draw at Ibrox.
