According to BBC News, Manchester City winger Savinho is open to leaving the club as he explores a potential move to Tottenham. The Brazil international is a key target for Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi, and City are aware of Tottenham’s interest in the 22-year-old.
It is understood Savinho is keen to leave in the current transfer window, with work on a possible switch to London under way. Tottenham also held talks to sign him last summer, although City were not looking to sell at that point.
Savinho joined City from sister club Troyes for £30.8m in July 2024 after spending the previous season on loan at Girona. He signed a two-year contract extension last October, tying him to City until 2031. He scored three goals in 48 appearances in his first season under Pep Guardiola, before making 36 appearances across all competitions in Guardiola’s final campaign as manager.
Despite his wish to depart, Savinho has been named in City’s initial 28-man squad for their pre-season tour of Asia. New manager Enzo Maresca’s side will play Inter Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday, 1 August, before matches against K League All Stars in Seoul on 5 August and Atletico Madrid on 9 August.
