On 30 November 2022, the leading Lebanese Sweets franchise Sea Sweet celebrated the grand opening of their newest branch in Burwood. The event was celebrated with live Lebanese music and a beautiful variety of delectable Lebanese sweets served to the huge crowd which attended the celebration.

Mr. Peter Bader, the owner of the Sea Sweet franchise in Sydney thanked the attendees for their continued support of all Sea Sweet branches which include Mount Lewis, Merrylands, and Liverpool. He also paid special respect to the Maalouf family in Lebanon who are the creators of the brand. Additionally, he thanked the Mayor of Burwood, Clr. John Faker as well as Clr. Anthony Bazouni of Canada Bay, in addition to other dignitaries who attended or supported the opening of the new branch. He concluded by announcing that there are many more branches set to open in 2023 starting with one in Canterbury.

Mr. Bader’s speech was followed by a short word from Mayor Faker who stressed on the importance of opening new businesses in Burwood which is quickly becoming a major hub in Sydney. He also mentioned the opening of a new station as well as the availability of a variety of business incentives.

After the speeches, the ribbon was cut, and the new location was pronounced open.
