According to ABC News, six youths aged 12 and 13 were arrested after members of the public were allegedly assaulted in central Hobart on Saturday.

Tasmania Police said it received reports shortly before 4:30pm that a group of youths was involved in a disturbance and that several members of the public had been assaulted.

Police attended the scene and arrested the six young people. Authorities said no one was physically injured during the incident.

The youths were taken to Hobart Police Station before being released into the care of their parents or guardians. Police thanked members of the public who intervened and assisted the victims.
