According to Cnbc, Snap Inc. shares are up almost 20% this month, while options traders are placing bullish bets on the social media company. The stock has traded below $10 since July 2025 after falling from more than $80 at its 2021 high to $3.81 in April.

Options volume climbed to more than four times its month-long average on Monday, according to Cboe LiveVol data. Nearly 140,000 Snap options changed hands, including about 64,000 call trades that were likely opened by buyers, compared with fewer than 7,000 puts.

Traders sold more than 12,000 puts and just over 34,000 calls. Barchart said net trade sentiment and net directional bias, based on options deltas, were positive. Nine of the 10 largest trades by volume were calls, while $5 million of the $5.5 million in premium exchanged was connected to calls, SpotGamma data showed.

The most popular purchase was the $8 strike call expiring Dec. 18, traded 26,000 times. The contract cost about 37 cents and would require Snap shares to rise 30% before expiration to pay off. Such a move would put the stock at its highest level since February.

Interest in Snap has grown as attention focuses on Meta Platforms’ AI agent. Snap, owner of the Snapchat photo-sharing and messaging app, also offers augmented-reality Specs glasses. Blue Duck Capital recently urged Snap’s board to raise dedicated capital for the product, saying it could support a $12 to $14 share price.
