According to BBC News, millions of people across the UK witnessed the most significant solar eclipse since 1999.

People gathered across the country on Wednesday to watch the spectacle as the Moon obscured more than 90% of the Sun.

The event was seen over UK skies, with locations connected to the coverage including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cornwall, London and Belfast. The eclipse was described as a once-in-a-generation sight.
