South Sudan’s president Salva Kiir held discussions with United Arab Emirates’ Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Alnuaimi in the capital city of Abu Dhabi where the two agreed to work together in the areas of Agriculture, energy, and infrastructure development.

President Kiir hopes to improve the agricultural sectors in the country so  farmers in South Sudan can return to their farmyards this year as a peace agreement brought little stability to the country.

South Sudan is Africa’s youngest Nation in the East African community that depends on Oil production, and it was the only country in the region that imports everything from outside sources.

The bilateral cooperation signed by the two sister countries in the United Arab Emirates would boost South Sudan’s economic ability and provide more job opportunities to the citizens

According to Dr. Maria Benjamin, the minister of presidential affairs in the office of the president, the United Arab Emirates committed to deepen bilateral trade agreements with South Sudan bringing a mutual investment that will benefit the country.
