SPRING INTO SPRING SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Come rain or shine, the City of Canterbury Bankstown has school holiday activities to keep families feeling bright and sunny this spring.
Some of our most popular activities are back, and we’re launching new ones, including a movie marathon, a dance workshop and a course at the pools to prepare for swimming carnivals.
“This is an exciting time and we’ll be offering all these activities so families can enjoy them, and, of course, most activities are free,” says Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour.
“I encourage everyone to check out our activities and get involved,” says Mayor Asfour.
The school holidays coincide with Canterbury-Bankstown’s new cultural celebration, Let’s Go First Nations, which will be happening across our libraries. Activities will include First Nations cultural sessions for 5-12s, including stories and crafts.
Other library activities include coding robots, always a big hit with the kids, a comic book workshop and and another favourite, live reptile shows.
Bankstown Arts Centre is getting hands on with clay model making clubs, as well as origami and printmaking sessions.
Other highlights include ball and net sports at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre and Belmore Youth Resource Centre is hosting movies, sport, drop-ins and more for older youth.
Other school holiday activities include:
• Sports and games;
• Cycling;
• Arts and crafts sessions;
• Dungeons and Dragons;
• Bingo and other games;
• Bowling;
• Toddler song and dance;
• Building blocks.
