The Australian Saudi Business Council hosted a landmark ministerial webinar today, marking a pivotal step forward in fostering bilateral trade and collaboration between Australia and Saudi Arabia.

The webinar featured esteemed leaders:

• His Excellency Bandar Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• His Excellency Khalid AlMudaifer, Vice Minister of Mining Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• The Hon. Madeleine King MP, Federal Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia, Commonwealth of Australia

Moderated by the Council President Mr Sam Jamsheedi, the discussion highlighted the growing partnership between the two nations, with a focus on mining, industry, and resources.

His Excellency Bandar Khorayef emphasised the progress in the bilateral relationship, stating:
“The partnership between Saudi Arabia and Australia has advanced significantly in recent years. Mining and mining services are key areas where our nations can collaborate to unlock mutual benefits and contribute to global supply chain resilience.”

The Hon. Madeleine King MP underlined the importance of two-way investment for sustainable growth, saying:
“It is vital that we continue to explore opportunities for two-way investment between our nations to ensure the sustained growth of trade. The Future Minerals Forum is one of the premier events in mining, enabling international partners to come together in a collaborative effort to drive growth and innovation.”

A key highlight of this collaboration is Australia’s active participation in the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), where over 300 Australian companies are engaged. This year’s FMF will also feature the first-ever Australia Country Stand, showcasing Australia’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and investment in the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
