Arabic version: لن يواجه نجم برنامج Strictly Come Dancing تهم اغتصاب
An unnamed star from the popular show Strictly Come Dancing will not face criminal charges following an arrest on suspicion of rape. According to BBC News, the individual was arrested on 13 October 2025 and subsequently released on bail while the investigation continued.
Hertfordshire Police announced on Tuesday that they had consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service. Detectives concluded there was “insufficient evidence” to proceed with criminal charges against the man. The allegations stemmed from an incident reported to have occurred after a BBC event, involving a woman who was not a contestant or professional dancer on the show.
The police statement confirmed that no charges would be brought against the individual, who had his bail extended until 7 April 2026 to allow for further inquiries. The investigation’s findings indicate that the case is now closed without any further action.
This incident follows another arrest in August 2025 involving a different man associated with Strictly Come Dancing, who was also suspected of rape and non-consensual intimate image abuse. Details regarding that individual’s role in the show remain unclear.
