Arabic version: حرب السودان تدفع اللاجئين إلى تشاد

According to France 24, Sudan’s war is spilling over into Chad, where hundreds of thousands of Sudanese refugees have crossed the border in search of safety.

A drone strike killed at least four people last week in Bamina, a border town in Chad, France 24 reported. The attack highlights the extension of the regional humanitarian crisis beyond Sudan’s borders.

Many refugees who survived the massacre in El Fasher remain deeply traumatised, according to the report. They are among those who have fled into Chad as the conflict continues.

France 24 correspondent Harold Girard reported on the situation from the region in a video issued on October 27, 2026.
