The profession of law is one of the most noble and esteemed community and service professions. It is fundamentally tasked with finding solutions and seeking the truth. After all, it is the judiciary that carries the responsibility of promoting some of the highest values in existence, such as the pursuit of truth and justice, advocating for the rights of the oppressed, and reclaiming those rights from others. These sentiments were articulated by Dr. Rania Marwan Sabano, a Syrian international law expert, international arbitrator, and founder and president of the Arab and Syrian Women’s Leadership Foundation in the UK, during her press statements following her participation in the annual Lawyers’ Day celebration.
Dr. Rania Sabano expressed her deep gratitude to her dear friends at the Sherbini Law Office, led by Counselor Majid Sherbini, for their esteemed invitation to this distinguished legal gathering. This event brought together a selection of prominent figures from both the sitting and standing judiciary, and she felt honored to invoke the memory of the late great Ahmed Al-Khawaja, the former head of the lawyers’ syndicate, who is one of the most significant symbols in defending the independence of the legal profession.
The international law expert emphasized her high regard for the presence of Counselor Kamal Khalifa, acknowledging the valuable legal stature he represents. The presence of the Kemit Arbitration Center added significant value to the event, which showcased a high level of organization and attention. This gathering reaffirmed the crucial role of the legal profession in establishing justice and upholding the rule of law. In conclusion, she wished everyone peace and prosperity, hoping for the blessing of security and peace to prevail across our beloved Arab world in all its nations.
