A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a teenage girl was stabbed at Thorpe St Andrew School, near Norwich. The incident occurred at about 10:24 GMT, prompting immediate police response and the establishment of lockdown conditions at the school.

According to BBC News, the victim sustained minor injuries and was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment. The police confirmed that the arrested boy is suspected of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

In response to the incident, Laundry Lane has been closed off by law enforcement. A police spokesperson indicated that this incident is not believed to be linked to a hate crime reported at the same school last week.

Parents have expressed concern over the limited information available regarding their children’s safety, as indicated by comments on a Norfolk Police Facebook post. Broad Horizons Education Trust, which runs the school, has refrained from providing additional comments at this time.
