This marks the first time a teenager has defeated Djokovic at a major, showcasing Fonseca’s composure in high-pressure moments.

The match was notable for Djokovic’s struggle to maintain his dominance, as he became vocal about his frustrations and displayed signs of fatigue. Fonseca, on the other hand, showcased his skills with powerful forehands and strategic drop shots, ultimately turning the match in his favor.
