That Pacific Sports Show returns to ABC TV this week, showcasing and celebrating the achievements of Pacific athletes in Australia and around the world. Hosted by NRLW and State of Origin player, Tiana Penitani, the program returns to ABC Australia on 1 June 2022.

ABC Manager of Sport Nick Morris said he is excited to have the program back. “This season of That Pacific Sports Show is going to be bigger and better than ever. We will take the audience on a trip across the Pacific, sharing some amazing and inspiring stories of athletes making it on the world stage and we’ll also have a laugh or two.”

Each week Tiana will be joined by different high-profile athletes with Pacific heritage, including former Super Rugby player Sam Wykes; current Australian Wallaroo Sera Naiqama; and UFC Light Heavyweight Fighter Tyson Pedro.

Produced in-house at the ABC in Ultimo, That Pacific Sports Show will highlight a broad range of sports, from athletics and sailing to League and Union, showcasing the best of athletic achievement.

The first program for the season will feature hosts Tiana Penitani and Sam Wykes, reviewing all the weeks sport action, plus they’ll be joined on the couch by roving reporter Tyson Pedro, who will discuss his latest UFC fight, before he heads out to the waves of Narrabeen, Australia to learn to surf with Tahitian pro-surfer, Mihimana Braye.
