Hassan Tark, the head of the Democratic Union Party and a member of the Egyptian Political Parties Alliance, praised President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives for the government to swiftly present legislative proposals addressing family matters to the House of Representatives. These proposals include laws pertaining to both Muslim and Christian families, along with the establishment of a Family Support Fund. This initiative is part of the state’s vision to build a cohesive and stable society.
In statements made today during his visit to Alexandria, Tark emphasized that this step represents a long-awaited qualitative leap toward addressing the challenges faced by Egyptian families. He highlighted the importance of modern legislation based on in-depth studies and the opinions of scholars and specialists, ensuring a balance between rights and responsibilities while safeguarding the family unit, which is the foundation of society.
Tark further noted that the expedited approval of these laws demonstrates a genuine political will to enhance community security, establish family stability, and mitigate disputes that negatively impact societal cohesion, especially amidst rapid social and economic changes. He underscored the necessity of initiating an extensive public dialogue regarding these laws to ensure they meet citizens’ needs and achieve justice for all family members, while upholding national values and principles. Long live Egypt! Long live Egypt! Long live Egypt!
