The Arab woman, from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Arabian Gulf in the east, shares in all the burdens and demands of life, contributing to the development and progress of her local communities. A salute is due to the Arab women in the regions experiencing conflicts and armed struggles, where their responsibilities are doubled. With these words, Dr. Rania Marwan Sabano, a professor and expert in international law, as well as the founder and head of the Arab and Syrian Women’s Leadership in the UK, began her statements today in Cairo.

In her television remarks, Dr. Rania Sabano spoke deeply and movingly about the essence of true leadership, which begins from within before manifesting externally. Leadership is not merely a position, but rather a journey of awareness and conviction. The first steps involve equipping oneself with faith and trust, recognizing that everything happens for a reason, carrying wisdom and compassion within it. Comparisons can be detrimental to the spirit, especially in an age where social media promotes unrealistic images that undermine the value of women in their authentic roles, overlooking their greatest contributions as mothers and leaders within their homes, where they create impact and build individuals.

Dr. Sabano expressed her high regard and admiration for the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, particularly His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She was deeply touched by the inspiring decision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, when he elevated the term “housewife” to “generation maker.” This designation fundamentally acknowledges the woman’s role in society-building, reflecting Sheikh Mohammed’s longstanding commitment to recognizing the crucial role women play in societal development and progress.

Dr. Sabano concluded her statements by emphasizing that true leadership begins within a balanced home, with a psychologically stable mother who believes in herself, thus nurturing a generation capable of shaping the future. The concept of women’s leadership simply means being a generation maker, while empowering women signifies comprehensive family stability for our great Arab nation.
