According to Al Jazeera, United States Representative Rashida Tlaib has called on the US government to arrest and investigate Israeli soldier Sean Glass over allegations tied to the killing of five-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab in Gaza.

In a social media post on Monday, Tlaib cited reports that Glass was in the United States and said the government had legal obligations under the Genocide Convention and Geneva Conventions. She said he should be arrested and investigated for alleged war crimes and acts of genocide.

The Hind Rajab Foundation said it filed an emergency request with the US Department of Justice seeking Glass’s arrest. The group said Glass commanded the “Vampire Empire” Company, which it alleged was implicated in the deaths of Rajab, members of her family and medics sent to rescue her.

Rajab and her family were trying to leave Gaza City on January 29, 2024, when their vehicle came under Israeli fire. Her family was killed, and Rajab called emergency services asking for help. She and the rescue team were later killed by Israeli forces, Al Jazeera reported.

The car carrying Rajab had 335 bullet holes. Israeli authorities initially attributed the incident to a firefight with Palestinian fighters, while Forensic Architecture said it found no evidence of an exchange of fire and concluded that only Israeli forces were present in the area. Israel has opened a probe into the killings.
