According to BBC News, Tottenham are in talks with Manchester City over a potential double deal for forwards Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Negotiations are progressing, although no agreement has been reached.
Spurs have tracked Brazilian winger Savinho since 2025, when the 22-year-old chose to stay at Manchester City. He made seven Premier League starts last season and is now minded to leave after joining City from French club Troyes for £30m in 2024.
Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m in 2025. The 27-year-old fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola during the 2025-26 season, but scored eight goals in 36 appearances in all competitions. City’s valuation of the two players is unclear, though the club would expect a significant profit on both.
Tottenham head coach Roberto de Zerbi has already reshaped his midfield this summer with the signings of Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for a combined £185m. He has also stressed the need to improve the attack after Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League last season, scoring 48 goals in 38 matches. Tottenham remain interested in Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, although it is unclear whether they could finance a move for him alongside deals for Marmoush and Savinho.
Spurs begin their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday at 17:30 BST. Manchester City host Bournemouth on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
