After their impressive outing in the Arab cup, the Lebanese team will face a tougher schedule ahead as they were drawn in the group with two newly hatched competitive rivalries as they fell in the same group with New Zealand, the Philippines and India. 

The young Lebanese team will travel to Indonesia with high hopes and revenge on their minds as they hope to defeat the Tall Blacks after three heartbreaking losses the largest margin of victory for New Zealand was only 4 points.

Another interesting matchup against the Gilas Pilipinas, against whom the Lebanese team split the last two matchups, last one being a Lebanese victory in Lebanon back in 2017. 

And finally India who’s lowest ranked between all four teams and might be the dark horse of the group.

Meanwhile the Cedars’ team will turn it’s head towards the next two games in the World Cup qualifiers against a strong Jordanian team in Jordan and a renewed Saudi team in KSA respectively on the 24th and 27th of February.
