US President Donald Trump has said that countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Turkiye and Pakistan should sign the Abraham Accords and normalise ties with Israel as part of a wider deal to end the war with Iran.

According to Al Jazeera, Trump’s proposal suggests that the expansion of the Abraham Accords could play a crucial role in stabilizing the region and fostering peace between Israel and its neighboring countries.

The Abraham Accords, which were originally signed in 2020, normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations. Trump’s renewed emphasis on this agreement signals his administration’s commitment to pursuing diplomatic solutions in the Middle East.

By advocating for these countries to join the accords, Trump aims to create a unified front in addressing the challenges posed by Iran, potentially reshaping the geopolitical landscape in the region.
