Donald Trump’s doctor has confirmed that the president is in “excellent health” following a recent medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The report, released by Dr. Sean Barbabella, includes a variety of tests including a CT scan and cancer screenings conducted by 22 specialists. According to ABC News, Dr. Barbabella stated that Mr. Trump is fully fit to perform all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.

The president, who turns 80 on June 14, expressed confidence in his health, stating that “everything checks out perfectly” following his tests. The report highlighted that he demonstrates strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function. However, it noted that Mr. Trump has gained weight, now weighing 108 kg, which is six kg heavier than the previous year. His body mass index of 29.7 is just below the obesity threshold.

Dr. Barbabella also recorded Mr. Trump’s vital signs, including a resting heart rate of 73 beats per minute and a blood pressure reading of 105/71 mmHg, both of which are considered healthy. The doctor found some injuries, including scarring on the right ear from a prior gunshot injury, but confirmed that Mr. Trump’s hearing remains intact.

Additionally, the president’s cognitive function was assessed, scoring a perfect 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, indicating no concerns. Dr. Barbabella recommended a continued focus on weight loss, dietary improvements, and increased physical activity as part of Mr. Trump’s preventative care plan. The president has been on a cholesterol management plan, with his levels showing significant improvement, now at 143, down from 223 in 2018.
