Trump heckled in Israeli Knesset as security officials drag people out
US President Donald Trump’s speech in the Knesset on Monday was briefly interrupted as security officials dragged people out of parliament and snatched away banners, Al Jazeera reported.
“After two harrowing years, darkness and captivity, 20 courageous hostages are returning to the glorious embrace of their families,” Trump told the lawmakers.
“This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East,” he said.
Trump’s brief visit to Israel includes an address to the Knesset, before he departs for Egypt to co-chair an international summit aimed at ending the war in Gaza.
