According to ABC News, two men in their 30s have been charged with murder after a man in his 20s was found with critical injuries at a bus stop in Australind, in Western Australia’s South West. Emergency services were called to the unresponsive man at about 1:20am on Sunday. He was taken to Bunbury Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Police allege an altercation occurred shortly after 1am in a car park on The Promenade in Australind, about 158 kilometres south of Perth. They say the 29-year-old victim walked away from the area before the two accused followed him and allegedly assaulted him with a pole.

The two men were arrested on Sunday and charged on Monday morning. Police had cordoned off a large area next to The Boulevard on Sunday morning, including a car park and two bus stops, while officers examined the scene. Two damaged cars were visible behind police tape in the car park of a shopping complex.

The men are due to face Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday.
