According to BBC News, two Antigua and Barbuda players were sent off for pulling the dreadlocks of Anguilla forward Aedan Scipio during a Concacaf Nations League match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Scipio, 36, has dreadlocks that reach his ankles and wears a band around his waist to keep his hair tied to his body. He came off the bench in the 69th minute with Anguilla already trailing 5-0.

Three minutes after his introduction, Antigua and Barbuda’s Keon Greene was shown a straight red card for tugging Scipio’s hair. The incident did not prove to be the last involving the Anguilla player’s dreadlocks.

In added time, Antigua and Barbuda were reduced to nine men when Shalon Knight pulled Scipio’s dreadlocks from behind, taking him off his feet. Anguilla are 210th in Fifa’s international rankings, with only San Marino ranked below them.
