The U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team beat Bolivia 2-0 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to open their Copa America campaign. The USA scored both goals in the first half, with Christian Pulisic putting the ball in the back of the net less than 3 minutes into the game, marking his 30th goal in 69 international matches.

Folarin Balogun scored the second goal for USA just before halftime, ending a six-match goal drought with a shot into the bottom corner. Moreover, USA had several chances to score a third goal, with Ricardo Pepi having multiple attempts to score, but Bolivian goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra denied them.

The USMNT dominated Bolivia throughout the game, holding a 61% to 39% possession advantage and taking eight shots on goal compared to Bolivia’s three. These are positive signs for the USMNT as they prepare to face Panama on June 28, while Bolivia takes on Uruguay.
