The United Australian Lebanese Movement of NSW is calling on community members to nominate deserving individuals for the UALM Australia Day Awards, with nominations closing on 31 October 2026.

The awards recognise individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Lebanese-Australian community and broader Australian society. They celebrate dedication, leadership and service, highlighting people whose achievements inspire others and leave a lasting positive impact. Nominations can be made for individuals from anywhere in Australia, according to the UALM awards page.

In an invitation to the community, UALM NSW Secretary Roger Hatem encouraged people to help recognise those whose contributions deserve to be celebrated.

The nomination process offers an opportunity to bring attention to people whose commitment to others may otherwise go unrecognised. It is also a chance to share stories of service and leadership that can encourage future generations to contribute to their communities.

Those wishing to nominate someone should review the full Australia Day Awards criteria before completing the online nomination form.

Nominations close on 31 October 2026. Community members are encouraged to submit their nominations before the deadline and help shine a light on someone truly deserving.

Further information is available on the UALM Australia Day Awards website.

Celebrate Excellence. Honour Leadership. Inspire the Future.
