Arabic version: الأمم المتحدة تعلن أن غزة يجب أن تعود بالكامل للفلسطينيين
The United Nations has stated that “100% of Gaza” should belong to the Palestinian people. This declaration comes in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement regarding plans to expand control over the Gaza Strip to 70%, while hinting a complete takeover could follow.
According to Al Jazeera, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric emphasized the organization’s stance on the matter, reinforcing the view that the entirety of Gaza should be under Palestinian governance.
Netanyahu’s remarks have sparked significant discussions about the future of the Gaza Strip and the implications for Palestinian sovereignty. The Israeli leader’s intentions have raised concerns about the potential for further escalation in the region.
The UN’s position highlights ongoing tensions regarding land ownership and governance in Gaza, a topic that remains critical in the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
