Delegations from China and the United States began economic and trade consultations in South Korea on Wednesday ahead of President Donald Trump’s arrival in Beijing later that day. According to Middle East Eye, the talks were taking place at Incheon International Airport near Seoul.
These talks are scheduled prior to meetings between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, which are set to occur in Beijing on Thursday and Friday. The discussions come amid ongoing tensions over trade, global energy markets, and the conflict involving Iran.
The outcome of these consultations could have significant implications for the economic relationship between the two nations, especially in light of the recent tensions surrounding trade policies and market stability.
