According to BBC News, United States international Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy has been banned from all forms of cricket for eight years after being found guilty of match-fixing. The International Cricket Council’s Anti-Corruption Tribunal found that the 26-year-old breached three counts of cricket’s anti-corruption code during last year’s Abu Dhabi T10 League in the United Arab Emirates.

Reddy was part of the Aspin Stallions team, which reached the Abu Dhabi T10 final in 2025. The side also included former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and England player Sam Billings. Reddy made two appearances in the T10 League before he was provisionally suspended on 21 November 2025; the eight-year sanction has been backdated to that date.

The ICC said the tribunal found Reddy guilty of attempting to fix, contrive or improperly influence, or being party to an agreement or effort to improperly influence, the result, progress, conduct or another aspect of matches in ADT10 2025. He was also found guilty of encouraging another participant to engage in match-fixing.

In addition, the tribunal found that Reddy obstructed the investigation through the deletion of data and messages from a mobile device. The spinner made his USA debut against Cayman Islands in April 2025 and has played four T20 matches for the country.
