Families are in for a fresh treat when popular kids’ musical comedy Pineapple People take over Riverside Live at PHIVE from 14-15 April, highlighting a vibrant line-up of school holiday activities in Parramatta next month.
Performed by award-winning children’s band The Vegetable Plot, the production is a family adventure of live music, puppetry and dad jokes starring Aspara Gus, Ru Barb, Sir Paul McCarrotney and Avo Kaydo.
From hands-on workshops and theatre performances to robotics, storytelling and family fitness, Parramatta’s April school holiday program offers something for every age and interest across libraries, community centres, Riverside and Active Parramatta programs.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said the school holiday program is all about giving local families fun and accessible ways to learn, explore and spend time together.
“School holidays are a chance for kids to switch off the classroom routine and discover something new, whether that’s music, sport, storytelling or creativity,” Cr Zaiter said.
“From singing along with The Vegetable Plot at Riverside Live at PHIVE to robotics workshops, puppet shows and family fitness classes, there’s something happening across Parramatta every day of the holidays.
“We are proud to create programs that bring families together while helping kids learn new skills, build confidence and most importantly have fun.”
Across the City, families can explore a wide range of activities including:
