The 2023 FIFA Club World Cup kicks off this evening on Tuesday, in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a match between the Saudi Al-Ittihad team and the Auckland City club.
Held at King Abdullah Sports Stadium, this will be the first match of the opening of the 2023 Club World Cup.
The winner will face the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club in the second round on Friday, December 15, while the losing team will exit the tournament early.
The match between Al-Ittihad and Auckland City will start at eight pm Cairo time (nine pm Mecca time).
Channels broadcasting the match
The 2023 Club World Cup matches will be broadcast exclusively on the SSC Channels network, after it obtained the exclusive rights to broadcast live scenes of the Club World Cup matches in the Middle East.
The SSC Channel management selected the SSC 1 HD encrypted channel to broadcast the match between Al-Ittihad and Auckland City on Tuesday evening.
The match between Al-Ittihad and Auckland City can also be watched live via the Shahid app online.
The Saudi Al-Ittihad team participated only once in the Club World Cup in 2005, during which they achieved fourth place.
The Auckland City Club has participated most in the tournament, at 10 times – despite this, the best they have ever ranked is at third place.
