Mr. President Joseph Aoun, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the head of the Supreme Defense Council, is indeed the right person in the right place. He exemplifies national leadership, never compromising on sovereignty and placing Lebanon’s interests above all else. Currently, he is navigating a very delicate and critical phase that demands both wisdom and decisiveness. I can confidently say that the Lebanese people, and indeed the vast majority if not all of them, stand firmly behind the president, supporting his wise leadership and national choices. They see in his stances a reflection of the state’s fundamental values and a determination to protect stability and preserve the dignity of the nation and its people, who have suffered and grown weary of endless wars. This is a time when the country needs courageous and responsible decisions that rise to the challenge. He has long been the shield of the nation and has lived by the motto of the Lebanese Army: “Honor, Sacrifice, Loyalty.” We all hope that Lebanon’s salvation will crown his presidency.

Indeed, President Joseph Aoun has made it unequivocally clear: we want peace, and we desire to engage in negotiations. The Lebanese people, who finally feel that their voices have been heard, echo his sentiments with a resounding affirmation: yes, we want peace—a path to be steadily charted, accompanied by a long-awaited courageous decision that puts an end to this suffering and redirects the course of our nation. We support every national stance taken by the president and endorse any bold decision that lifts the burden of bloodshed and destruction from Lebanon, returning it to its true identity as a land of life and peace, rather than a battlefield of death and wars, allowing its people to reclaim their natural right to a dignified and stable life.

Yes, let us move toward peace and stand firmly alongside President Joseph Aoun at this pivotal juncture. His call was not just a fleeting political statement but a sincere expression of a nation wearied by wars since 1948—a translation of the desire and aspirations of a people yearning for salvation and a new chapter. It is time to put an end to the cycle of killing, destruction, and displacement, and to conclude the era of war and humiliation. Peace is not a sign of weakness or concession; rather, it is a courageous choice and a national necessity, representing humanity’s victory over war. Negotiations are not an act of surrender but the highest form of responsibility to protect Lebanon and preserve its future. This nation has grown tired of wars, and its people have suffered enough; now is the moment for a brave decision to halt this cycle.

We support this direction because it prioritizes the nation and the people, restoring the concept of a homeland that embraces its citizens rather than consuming them in endless conflicts and foreign interests. Lebanon deserves a genuine opportunity, and this chance has emerged amid regional circumstances and international policies—do not squander it.

President Aoun has boldly stated, for the first time, to those who accuse him of treason that treachery is committed by those who lead their country to war for foreign interests, by those who carry illegal weapons, and by those who raise flags that are not the Lebanese flag. Those individuals should return to the country that represents their flag. It is certain that the President will face accusations, betrayal, and threats from a misguided minority manipulated by external forces, as he works to reclaim Lebanon’s decision-making power for the first time in nearly half a century.

The language of betrayal and threats does not build a nation. Addressing crises requires dialogue and seriousness, not baseless accusations and sharp projections. Ultimately, what is needed is a responsible national discussion that places Lebanon’s interests above all else, granting trust to a state that alone possesses its decision and raises it high, negotiating on its behalf.

We will not allow any affront to the dignity of the President of the Republic, nor will we slide into questioning his patriotism, nor allow national discourse to devolve into accusations of treason and insult. We will never permit any diminishment of his position and national symbolism under any pretext, as respecting the presidency is a red line in honoring Lebanon itself. We also urge him not to pay attention to misleading rumors, as his actions do not resonate with a minority that has destroyed its environment with humiliation, displacement, and murder, fearing the return of a strong state. You will hear a lot; do not look back and let your actions speak for themselves.

Yes, let us move towards peace, for Lebanon can no longer afford to wait. It is the duty of every patriotic Lebanese to recognize and unite with the path of peace led by the president, ensuring that the homeland does not remain a hostage to the crises and wars of others on its soil. Nations are not measured by their capacity to wage wars but by their ability to establish peace, protect their citizens, and offer them a safe and dignified life.

Mr. President, under your leadership, we will once again make Lebanon great!

May you continue to be a source of pride for Lebanon, bringing honor and dignity, and may God protect you!
