Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid said on Monday that US President Donald Trump saved millions of lives.

“You are the one who has the power to bring about the next wave of peace,” Lapid said, addressing Trump at a session in the Israeli Knesset. 

Trump’s brief visit to Israel includes an address to the Knesset, before he departs for Egypt to co-chair an international summit aimed at ending the war in Gaza.
